Rick comes to Solution Focused Coaching with years of ministry experience. Rick served as a pastor for 10 years, for 14 years as a district superintendent in the US and for 7 years as a national executive in Canada. For the past 4 years he has directed a recovery and restoration ministry for vocational Christian workers. His unique contribution to SFC is that he "has been there!" He has known positive success and both personally and in his recovery work, has seen firsthand the devastation and pain of trauma, crisis, failure, involuntary terminations, and other ministry disappointments.
Rick enjoys conference teaching in North America and overseas on conflict management and resolution, crisis prevention and intervention, leadership, vision casting, team building, pastoral and member care, as well as other topics. Rick is married to Sue, a registered nurse, and together they are grateful for 2 sons and 2 daughters, all adults. He has graduated from Moody Bible Institute, Biola University, Talbot Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Rick is known as a positive minded affirmer and encourager, who relates warmly and easily with people from various cultures and traditions.
